​​Kate Campbell Strauss & Friends is a jazz combo playing handpicked, saxophone-centric tunes by Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, Benny Golson, Horace Silver, Antônio Carlos Jobim, and many others. The band features Kate, accompanied by rotating cast of Portland's best musicians, including Scott Morrison, Neil Lamb, Bess Jacques, and Per Hanson. They were the featured band in the Monday Night Jazz Series at St. Lawrence Arts.
